Hui o Makiki is a group of Makiki neighbors working to create a healthy, beautiful, and nurturing community in Makiki. Hui o Makiki was formed in 2006 and is a registered nonprofit organization in the state of Hawaii.

We meet on the first Saturday of each month at Makiki District Park (Arts & Crafts building) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and we welcome new participants and members!

Issues we have been addressing include graffiti eradication, neighborhood beautification, support for revitalization of the Makiki Community Library, and ideas for fostering a stronger sense of community in Makiki.
