Being a small, volunteer-run, privately-funded library that is open to the public, Makiki Community Library relies on the generosity of many people giving of their time, talent, and money. With increasing costs everywhere, it is sometimes challenging to keep our doors open to our community, neighbors, friends, and guests – but it is one we gladly take on.
We want to alert you to two ways Makiki Community Library can use your help in September to help us with our fundraising. More information will be available here at makiki.info on both of these fundraisers.

Throughout the entire month of September, Makiki Community Library (#78581) will once again be participating in Give Aloha, Foodland’s annual community matching gifts program. Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will match a portion of your contribution, up to $249.

On Tuesday, September 27, Makiki Community Library will hold our Second Annual Taste for Books Fundraiser at St. Clement’s Church Hall. After the success of last year’s event, we decided to make this an annual fundraising event, with food, drinks, and fellowship. Tickets will be $25. More information will be available here at makiki.info.
And if you have yet to visit us, please stop by! We are located in Makiki District Park, 1527 Keeaumoku Street, on the Keeaumoku Street side, two buildings mauka of the parking lot.
